Arthouse

arthouse-9.2013

Speaking of all the exciting construction going on in Portland lately, we couldn't help but notice that Arthouse — designed by Lever Architecture and part of a major expansion of the Pacific Northwest College of Art — is almost done. On the former site of Powell's Technical Books, the new building is a striking addition to the North Park Blocks. It contains housing for 130 PNCA students as well as a cafe, retail and gallery space on the ground level. If you want to check it out, the building will be open on September 5 for First Thursday. You can read more about the project here, and an interview with the architect here. Walsh Construction is the general contractor for Arthouse. Here are a couple of views of the logistics 3d model we created for them as part of their bid to win the project.

Ady Leverette was a designer and a principal at Fat Pencil Studio between 2011 and 2018.
