Fall Conferences

‘Tis the season for heading back to school, sitting in little chairs, and talking to your kid’s teacher about how things are going. I’ve got a couple of parent-teacher conferences scheduled next week, but here at Fat Pencil Studio, I’ve been busy with meetings of a different sort, including events focusing on construction law, federal courts, and traffic simulation.

The federal courts organized a great event at OMSI. In addition to serious presentations about bias and equity, attendees had an opportunity for a little fun. Where else can you see 10 judges playing a live version of Family Fued? We also had after-hours access to the exhibits (including the largest playable electric guitar in the world).

"Judicial Feud". Richard Dawson not included.

Next week, I’ll be in Eugene giving a talk about visuals for community engagement at the Oregon Public Transportation conference. In November I’ll be bringing a display to the Oregon Paralegal Association annual conference in Lake Oswego, and the Oregon Association of Defense Council Fall seminar in Portland. If you find yourself attending any of these events, please come say hello!
