Williams Bikeway

Client Alta Planning, City of Portland
Project
[2011] This animation sequence was used at an April 2011 open house for the North Williams Traffic Operations Safety Project. The first four clips show a bus stop and pedestrian crossing at the corner of Tillamook St, in two different street configurations (existing and proposed) and from three different perspectives (pedestrian, cyclist, and driver). A final clip tours the “main street” section of North Williams Avenue from Cook to Shaver. Three new traffic signals are proposed to help control traffic speeds. For more information, see this article from the Portland Bureau of Transportation.
Praise
“Fat Pencil Studio’s ability to show real‐time 3D graphics definitely made a contribution to the success of the project, and the quality of their deliverables, their responsiveness to deadlines, and their willingness to go above and beyond was impressive.”
