Sebastian's Farewell

headshot

The time has come for me to move on and to step aside from my position as an Illustrator here at Fat Pencil Studio. These past 27 months have been filled with rewarding experiences and many exciting and interesting projects which I never thought I would have the chance to be involved with. This experience has also had an impact on my career perspective and set of skills. Having obtained an architectural education, I was always drawn into the graphics aspect, but never had the chance to see the actual impact of great visualization in different industries. I was able to see how our work and ideas put into graphics aided to the decision of many issues that otherwise could have been very difficult to understand and I feel very proud of that.

My departure will also distance myself from Portland, a city in which I had the chance to live for 8 long years. And even though I will be living in Seattle now, I will inevitably always feel a part of this city. Luckily, I have family and friends who have made deep roots in this place and will bring me back very often.

Now my path as a Technical Illustrator, Visual Artist, and/or aspiring Architect is yet undefined, but I will continue looking for a place where I can use and expand my skills so if you are in the Seattle area and know about someone looking for a guy like me, let me know!

In order to commemorate my time in this office, here is a slideshow of selected projects which I participated in chronological order since I started. With this I leave wishing all the luck and success to Fat Pencil Studio and its brilliant members: Joshua, Ady, and Yelena who are now a part of my memories. ¡Adiós!
